Second last day in Alleghe. A few parting photos.

The sun continues to shine and it was another memorable day on the slopes.  Tommorow is our last day skiing in Alleghe.  On Sunday we will head to Kitsbuel in Austria  where we intend to stay for a week skiing and also doing the tourist thing, Innsbruck, Salzburg and hopefully Vienna.  We are all restaurented out and will look for an apartment in Kitsbuel where we can do some home cooking.  Monte will stay on skiing for another week with his exchange friend for another week before travelling back and meeting with us in Italy.

Today Monte and Louis enjoyed another great day of skiing under blue skies and perfect visibility.  Only two more ski days left in Alleghe. No sign of snow and a fine and sunny weather forecast.  Ian and Myles had a lay day.  We took a drive through the Dolomites with clear driving weather that made for spectacular views. We headed towards Arraba, the heart of the ski area in the Belluno region.  We then took a mountain pass to Canazai and then up and over another mountain pass under the shadow of the mighty Marmolada before heading back to Alleghe via Caprile.  This area is an amazing ski network with trails heading up, over and around 2,500m high mountains which make up part of the Dolomite chain of mountains. This region is full of endless villages set in postcard perfect settings.
